Proof, measured honestly.
We measure what matters: organic visibility, qualified traffic, keyword growth, and how often brands appear, and get cited, across traditional and AI search.
What changed across recent search projects.
These are anonymized portfolio results. Company names are intentionally removed, but the patterns are the point: stronger systems, clearer topical relationships, better evidence, and disciplined testing.
Organic traffic growth for a home-services brand over six months.
Additional AI responses for the same brand during the measured period.
Referring-domain growth for a B2B platform while AI visibility began to surface.
From scattered pages to a connected topic system
Existing authority and hundreds of pages created the opportunity. The work focused on making the current content library work harder with stronger internal relationships, pillar logic, and human-reviewed AI workflows.
9.9K → 12.6K site traffic
Growth came from useful entry points across questions, problems, comparisons, and product-led searches, not from chasing one isolated keyword.
3 → 90 ranking keywords
A local service page started competing for broad national searches. The investigation weighed links, authority, local relevance, and topical relationships rather than forcing one easy explanation.
When a local page started ranking like a national one.
An anonymized look at how search growth is investigated, not guessed.
A local service page moved into broad national search visibility
The situation. A local service page suddenly began competing for broad residential searches that were not limited to its city. The change was large enough to warrant a deeper investigation into what had shifted.
The strategy. I reviewed ranking history, internal-link changes, domain authority, topical relationships, and SERP behavior to identify what was most likely contributing to the increase. Internal linking initially looked like the obvious explanation, but the timeline did not fully support that conclusion.
The execution. Rather than forcing a convenient explanation, I compared ranking changes against link timing and broader site signals. The stronger hypothesis became that authority, local relevance, and clearer topical relationships were changing how Google evaluated the page.
Where it landed. The page expanded from 3 to 90 ranking keywords and from 10 to 3,421 estimated traffic, while holding around #4 for major broad queries during the period analyzed.

Observation, not overclaiming: the purpose was to find the strongest explanation and identify what to test next.
What success actually looks like.
Vanity metrics are easy to manufacture and useless for decisions. The goal is to understand what changed, why it may have changed, and what to test next.
Organic visibility
Rankings, non-brand traffic, keyword movement, and page-level gains across traditional search.
AI visibility
Mentions, citations, source patterns, and whether a brand is included in AI-generated recommendations.
Content systems
Topic coverage, internal links, pillar relationships, entity signals, and whether the structure supports buyer questions.
Business relevance
Traffic quality, commercial intent, lead potential, and whether visibility connects to an actual growth path.
